Group Laboratory of Optical Spectroscopy
Research in our laboratory is focused on electronic and vibrational properties of semiconducting layered materials: i.e. transition metal dichalcogenides and post-transition metal monochalcogenides . We apply various techniques of optical microspectroscopy, such as Raman scattering, photoluminescence, photoluminescence excitation and reflectance contrast as a function of temperature and of magnetic fields. Our main projects include investigations of exciton-phonon coupling and excitonic complexes in high quality van der Waals structures comprising these materials.
