Photoelectrochemistry and photocatalysis research group

Our research interest is focused on synthesis and characterization of inorganic and organic semiconductors (TiO2, ZnO, Fe2O3, BiVO4, WO3, conducting polymers, g-C3N4)  and hybrid systems. We investigate photoactivity of these materials in solar cells,  photodegradation of organic pollutants and water splitting. We study a dynamics of the charge transfer in the interfacial regions, electron-hole  recombination, and the mechanisms of photocatalytic processes. Methods applied: photoelectrochemical, spectroscopic (XPS, FTIR, Raman, UV-vis), microscopic (FE-SEM, HR-TEM), XRD.
